Privacy policy — The Cash Index

Summary

The Cash Index is a content site. We do not require accounts, we do not collect personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising. The most personal thing we know about a visitor is their IP address (held in standard server logs for 30 days) and the casinos they click through to via our /visit/ redirects (logged as an operator ID and timestamp, with no visitor identifier attached).

What we collect

Server logs: for every request to the site, our server records the timestamp, requested URL, response status, IP address, and user agent string. These logs are retained for 30 days and are used solely for security monitoring and debugging.

Affiliate-redirect events: when you click an outbound /visit/{id} link, we log the operator ID, the timestamp, and the user agent. We do not associate this log entry with your IP or any other identifier. These logs are retained for 12 months for affiliate-reconciliation purposes.

Aggregate analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not transmit personal data. The data we see is aggregate page-view counts, referrer domains, and country-level breakdowns.

Cookies

The Cash Index does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set technical cookies (e.g. `__cf_bm`) for bot detection and request routing; these are not used for tracking and are managed by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

Cloudflare (CDN, DNS, web analytics, DDoS protection) — receives request metadata as part of serving the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Casino operators receive your traffic the moment you click an outbound link. Once you're on an operator's site, their privacy policy applies — read it before depositing or registering.

Your rights

Under GDPR (Ireland), PIPEDA (Canada), the New Zealand Privacy Act, and Norway's GDPR-aligned Personal Data Act, you have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, and to ask for it to be deleted.

Given that we do not require accounts and do not link logs to identifiers, we typically have nothing to return. To exercise a right anyway, write to [email protected] from the email address you'd like us to search against and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

The Cash Index covers gambling, which is restricted to adults in every market we operate in. Our content is not directed at anyone under 18 (or the local age of majority where higher). We do not knowingly collect data from people under that age.

Changes to this policy

If we change this privacy policy in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we will update the `updated_at` date at the top of the page and post a short summary of the change. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
