What this site is for
The Cash Index is an independent editorial research site. Its job is to answer specific, real-money questions readers have about online casinos — "does this payment method actually work here?", "how long does a withdrawal really take?", "is this licence real?" — with original work rather than recycled marketing copy.
It exists because the casino-affiliate space is dominated by sites that copy each other's reviews, score operators they've never looked at closely, and quietly remove negative coverage when the commission gets revoked. We try to be different in a specific way: every page links to a dataset, a primary source, or a computed result we can defend.
What we cover, and how
We cover four markets — Norway, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand — and we cover them the same way: by analysis, not by gambling. We do not open accounts or deposit at the casinos and sportsbooks we write about. Instead we analyse public complaint data, read regulatory filings and payment-processor terms in full, and build tools that compute market-specific answers. Norwegian pages are written in Norwegian; the others in English, adapted to each market's regulation and payments. We never imply personal testing we didn't do; the methodology is spelled out on every page.
We don't cover sweepstakes-only sites, social-casino apps without real-money payouts, or operators whose licence we can't verify with the regulator directly.
Affiliate disclosure
The Cash Index earns a commission when readers sign up to a casino via the outbound /visit/ links on this site. The commission is paid by the operator's affiliate network, never by you.
Commission rates vary between operators. They have no influence on which operators we cover, which payment methods we recommend, or how we assess them — the methodology applies regardless of affiliate relationship. Where we don't have an affiliate deal in place, we still link to the operator (via a plain outbound link) so readers can act on the page.
Editorial independence and conflicts of interest
We don't take paid placements, sponsored reviews, or paid edits. We don't sell links. We don't quietly pull negative coverage when an operator's affiliate relationship is revoked — the page stays up, with a note explaining the change.
Where there's a conflict of interest (the operator owns a parent we've covered, or has a marketing tie to someone we've worked with), we disclose it inline on the page. If an NDA prevents disclosure, we don't publish.

Operators who think a page is unfair: send the specific claim you're contesting and your own data. We re-check on request and will update or pull pages when our data is wrong.
